New sidewalks allow for easy outdoor access of the Picnic Pavilion and the bathroom located in the Fiber Studio. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, if you could use a lift, please ask a staff member for a ride in one of our golf carts. Visitors can drive their own cars to the Schoolhouse and to the Ancient World. No matter what the weather, Raven Hill is full of fun for all ages. The Main Museum Room encourages everyone to explore science, history and the arts. There's plenty to keep everyone occupied . The Animal Room includes reptiles and amphibians to look at. There are also salt and fresh water fish to watch. If you want to endear yourself to the animals, bring broccoli or apples for Sheldon, the tortoise!

Enjoy the hands-on museum and exotic animals indoors and then head outdoors. You can make music in the Earth Tones Music Garden; discover the geologic history of the earth along the Exploring Beyond Jurassic Park walk, play in the One Room Schoolhouse, have fun at the accessible Tree House and then head over the boardwalk to the Ancient World with its pyramid, sphinx, Roman arch, obelisk and Easter Island head. The new Connections Trail starts up behind the Schoolhouse and parallels the existing Taxonomic (Taxi) Trail. The Connections Trail features learning stations spaced out along the pathway, just waiting for visitors enjoy and explore.
NOTE: The road will be closed starting Monday, August 19, 2024. The culvert is being replaced by a bridge and Raven Hill will be accessible by detour for the outside. A pop-us museum will be set up in the Open Space before the construction site. Visitors can enjoy light, sound, motion, magnets, life science and music at the pop-up museum. Checkers the corn snake and Spike the lizard will be there to greet visitors.
