Labor Day Excursion
Join us in recreating the International Lyceum Association’s Labor Day Excursion: Boyne City to East Jordan. The event pictured is from 1898, which is 120 years ago. This year, on Saturday, September 1, 2018, the community is invited to follow the same trip by land or “sea”. Plan your own trip from Boyne City to Ironton and back down the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix to East Jordan (about 21 miles) by boat, car, bicycle or foot. Participants are invited to stop by Raven Hill at 4pm to view the Water/Ways exhibit, share pictures of their 2018 Labor Day Excursion and pick up their Certificate of Completion at Raven Hill (In order to receive an official certificate, please register your plans with Raven Hill by August 29th, 2018). There will be music & light refreshments served. The excursion is at your own leisure and your own cost. The celebration at Raven Hill Discovery Center begins at 4 pm and is at no cost.
