The Wood Shop
When the Michigan School of Boat Building & Marine Technology at Walloon Lake closed in 2013, Raven Hill was fortunate to inherit their woodworking tools. The Center's Wood Shop is located behind the Print Shop and is already being used for maintenance and upgrading of exhibits. The Wood Shop is the site for woodworking classes and is a "makerspace". Makerspaces combine equipment access and classes, enabling people of many ages to design & create objects they couldn't create without sharing space & tools.
