Water|Ways Exhibit Opening
The community is invited to a Grand Opening of the Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit at Raven Hill. Food, music and speakers will make the opening a very special event. Dave Dempsey, scholar for the Michigan Humanities Council will speak, Robin Berry Williams will provide background music. As part of the opening of this Museum on Main Street Water/Ways exhibit. Deleta Smith from the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians will bless the water. The Waganakising Odawa Anishinabek have been in their homelands in this area for centuries. Please take this opportunity to participate in one of their sacred ceremonies to honor Nibiish/ The Water, which is our life-giving force. No cost, but donations are appreciated.
