Labor Days: A History of Work
Raven Hill Discovery Center has collaborated with the Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street (MoMS) program on a pilot project about the history of who, where, why and how we work. As one of only ten organizations chosen in 2019 throughout the entire United States, Raven Hill worked with Smithsonian staff to create the exhibit: Labor Days-A History of Work. Labor Days chronicles the diversity of work in northern Lower Michigan over the past 150 years and parallels that with the variety of work done in the rest of Michigan, the nation and around the world during that same time period. The exhibit is open to the public during regular hours or by appointment through the end of 2022. Call 231.536.3369 to make reservations; ask questions or if you need more information.
